The UK left the EU on 31 January 2020. New rules and processes on importing and exporting goods between the UK and all the European countries that we ship between will be enforced from 1 January 2021.
As outlined in the diagram, hauliers and drivers will have to take responsibility for a number of new import and export requirements if they wish to gain access in and out of the countries we ship to and this will differ on each route.
We understand that the new systems and processes you will have to follow may be difficult to get used to, but we all want to minimise queue times at ports and make the entire process as streamlined as possible, therefore we are keen to help guide our customers where possible.
If the correct information is submitted and drivers have the correct documentation, the traffic at ports will flow smoothly. P&O Ferries will not be able to admit vehicles without the correct documentation, therefore please take the time to familiarise yourself with the step by step guides we have created for each route.
These processes will soon become business as usual, but until then we hope that by guiding you through the process we can make it as efficient and easy as possible.
